Universal earplugs
The lifespan of universal earplugs depends on how often you use them. Many people assume that earplugs last indefinitely, but this is not the case. Like other products, earplugs have a limited lifespan and should be replaced in a timely manner. Earplugs wear out due to continuous use, making them less effective in sound attenuation. Regular cleaning can extend their lifespan, but eventually, they will still need replacement. If you don’t use your earplugs daily, they will naturally last longer, but it’s still advisable to replace them regularly. This is primarily for hygiene reasons. Even if you don’t use the plugs daily, bacteria and dirt can still accumulate, negatively impacting their quality.
If you use our regular ‘PartyPlugs’ weekly, replace the earplugs every 4 to 5 months. For the ‘Custom PartyPlug,’ consider replacing the earplugs approximately every 1 to 2 years.
Custom fit earplugs
Custom fit earplugs made of soft material provide excellent protection against loud noises. However, after 2 to 3 years, the shape of your ear canal may change, causing the earplugs not to seal properly and reducing their effectiveness. It is essential to periodically have your custom fit earplugs (and ears) checked and, if necessary, replaced. This not only protects your hearing but also prevents other issues such as infections.
Therefore, have your hearing and earplugs checked annually and replace the Custom PartyPlug every 2 to 3 years.
